Is it like the driver's side window type of one-touch open, or is it going to always be all-open, and then we use the close button to adjust to the actual amount of "open" we want?

Some people were asking for a long time about making the sunroof switch 1-touch so they don't have to hold it to open the roof all the way, but they would press the switch once and the roof would automatically open all the way. I wrote some guided instructions on how to do it in a separate post, but I never gave detailed instructions until now. I never saw a need for this mod myself, so I didn't look into it. I knew there was a special timed relay needed from DEI, but I've never seen it. Until now, when yesterday someone asked me for help again and sent me detailed info on that Pulse Relay. Now that I know what that relay requires, I was able to do the specific diagram and instructions for everyone who's too lazy to hold the switch to open the roof

- only kidding.
As to the other question, you adjust the relay to the amount of seconds you want it to work, and once you touch the Open part of the OEM switch, the relay will hold the signal to the roof to continue opening for the amount of seconds you set it to. So if you set the relay to 5 sec. I believe the roof will open all the way. But if you set it only to 1 sec. it will only open a little.
As for the analogy to the driver's side window one-touch open funtion - No, it doesn't work the same. When you do 1-touch open of the driver's window you can stop it at any time by pressing the Up button.
Well, with this 1-touch open roof it doesn't work like that. The relay continues to send the signal for the amount of seconds you set it to, and pressing Close ot Tilt buttons will not stop that process.
