orange in the headlight
Hi, does anyone have any idea how to remove the circular orange turn signal in the headlights? If it is removed how does it look and is there a clear circular lens replacement for it? I'm trying to remove all traces of orange in my front headlights. Also I noticed in the 06' models the rear clear lens is smoked while in the 05 and below models they are clear. Is there anyway to change the lens? I'm thinking of opening my headlights soon and I would like to do everything I can before I close them up because it takes a long time to open and close the headlights for me.
Is the bulb in the circular turn signal orange or white.. what about the side marker?
thanks!

a lot of questions my friend
first of all, the turn signal bulb inside the headlight is clear. That's why the lens is orange. But the lens isn't flat as it seems from the outside. When you remove it, it's actually like a cup, so you really can't replace it with anything hand-made. The clear lenses exist only in 2006+ Accord Euro / JDM headlights. If you get those, you can pull the clear turn signal and the clear corner piece from those headlights and put them in yours. However, to remove the turn signal lens you not only need to open the headlight, but you also have to remove the chrome assembly from the rear black housing. And that means you have to remove 2 beam adjustment bolts (vertical and horizontal adjustment) and you have to pop the assembly from a swivel point, which I found to be the hardest part, since it's easy to break that swivel, and then the whole chrome assembly is garbage. Also, once you do that, when you put it all back together, you will have to adjust horizontal and vertical beam positioning of your headlights. I took mine apart because I smoked my orange turn signals, so you don't see the orange, but when lit, it shows perfectly fine. But I had to adjust my horizontal beam positioning bolts by my own eye, because to this date I can't find anyone with a computer to adjust headligths.... and they say US is so advanced... BS. In Europe, every respectable shop has computerized equipment far superior to those found here. To not to be able to find anyone in NJ with a computer to adjust headlights beam is just ridiculous IMO...
sorry, I had to vent a bit there ... lol

there's so much to do... thanks for the quick reply, wow u know ur stuff haha... in that case if i have to screw around with the positionings i'm probably just gonna rip it out from the front and then remove the side marker also. Do you know if i could take out the turn signal bulb if I were to remove the orange piece in front? BTW great DIY installation of the angel eyes. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to refer to that in a few weeks.

Blue, what I would say you should do in this case, is pick up a Set of EuroR headlights as well, the side markers are already clear, and this way if you mess up, you still have a set of headlights working headlights (the OEM ones in your car)

lol, I missed your post b4 I made my earlier.
Thanks,
One thing, there's NO WAY in hell you'll be able to "rip" or remove in any way the blinker lense from the headlight through front. It's not a flat lens. It's a large "cup" like shape that's held in the rear by 3 screws. There is only one way to remove that lens, and that's to first remove the chrome assembly.
You can remove the turn signal bulb just like any bulb, from the rear of the headlight. Just open your hood, turn the socket and you got the bulb out

I was planning to use a screwdriver and just beating the hell outta the lens until it cracks =p
Well I just purchased the Oracles... for 209 USD shipped.. their quite expensive for angel eyes but my friends have been having problems with their ballasts so I figured I could pay a little more and get life time warranty on them. Also higher quality ballasts and ccfl tubes (hopefully). Post pictures up as soon as I get them
BTW my friend has a heat gun in his garage I'm planning to use his heat gun to open up the headlights... too many bad stories of burnt plastic so i'm scared to put my headlights in the oven.. i'd rather spend 2 hours opening 1 set of headlights haha
I would like to purchase a pair of euro-r's but as a student i'm limited on budget and I'd rather spend $500 on a new exhaust. i've been told that taking out the orange altogether makes the headlights look weird, but i will have to see for myself next week.

As long as you follow my instructions, there's no way any plastic would ever melt in the oven. I've opened/closed TSX headlights about 16 times in the oven by now. Also, I think you overpaid for that kit a bit. Umnitza's inverters are not high quality, but I had them for a year now and they're working just fine. But those inverters that you see in the instructions are from GotXenon, Inc. and those are real high quality, and I doubt they charge more than $150 for their kit (although I actually don't know). Well, it doesn't matter since you already paid.
but man... you are heading for some major disapointments and a lot of wasted time with that blinker lens cracking and heat gun.
Althogh, as long as you feel strong enough to do what you want, that's what counts. There's no better teacher than own experience
Good luck
(just don't say I didn't warn you)

No offense dude, but even if, my rates are not exactly competative
I value quality work, and that's always expensive... lol

haha i was reading back somewhere in the posts and I saw that you were offering to do halo kit installs for $50. If only you lived near niagara falls... I'd want you to smoke my side lights for me also haha.. you did a good job on it in your recent posts.

Everyone's been telling me that I overpaid for the kit , but for the whole package I think its not a bad deal especially with lifetime warranty. There's this chinese shop that sells angel eyes for $80 (no tax) CAD here in Toronto, but my friend's experience was... blown inverters (blue box). Also I'm getting 4 inverters and 6 ccfl tubes (my engineering friend kept saying how ccfl tubes cost pennies to make and how they just painted the blue boxes black...). As a commerce student I think its worth it. Plus the shipping to Canada.

really?? check again. That definitely wasn't me... lol. Or I must've been drunk as hell if I did that
I wouldn't touch 2-ring AEs conversion for less than 300, less to say for 3-ring AEs. But that's only IF, 'cause in reality I don't really want to install anymore AEs. I had enough work with 4 sets in the past...
