Is there a hidden AUX input on the 04 TSX?

Hello everyone,

I just purchased an 04 TSX 6 speed without navigation a couple weeks ago. I've read a few places there is a hidden aux port on the bottom of the radio unit. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so how does the radio know whether to choose CD or AUX (because they are on the same button). Thanks.

I've only had my TSX for a very short period, too, but so far I've been able to figure out that there is no existing AUX port that could be used in plug-and-play fashion. Until 2006 model year, IIRC.

You need a Grom adapter, or something similar. http://gromaudio.com/store/aux1_adap...t_adapter.html

Grom also has USB, Bluetooth etc. adapters, too, if desired.

Will the Grom unit fit in the compartment under the radio?

Yes. I actually put mine down near the amplifier and ran the usb and ipod cable through the top of the storage pocket. I drilled a small hole in the plastic which you really cant see, but you can access it easily.

No sir. it allows you to use either usb or an aux input, both 'inputs' are in the apparat, along with the usual/normal radio + cd functions. The only not so fun part is getting at the back of the radio to connect it... but once it's there... woot!!

I know with the x-car-link, you have to place the songs in folders, folder size matters not, amount of folders also unlimited. I file the songs by 'genre', not band so there is always a nice mix.

I have the SChONDA AUX input thing? Its been 9 years so I dont really remember. All it is is you remove the cabby underneath your Radio/temperature thing. Inside there is a plug with some pins. Buy one of those AUX adapter that you can easily find online now for super cheap price (I got mine at $130 back then). Plug it in and you are good to go. CD player still works.

I will never give up, one day, it will be back on the road again...

I have this one in my car: Honda iPhone 5,6 Charging 3.5MM Aux MP3 Interface Adapter for Accord Civic CRV | eBay . All you have to do is remove the cubby right under the climate control and there will be an empty slot to plug it into. This is on my 04 5at non navi ( I think that port is occupied on cars with navi). You'll have to drill a hole or two in the cubby and then run the two cables through it and put the cubby back in. Once you have that all done you just have to press the cd/aux button and it'll take up slot 2 I believe.

I have the GTA Car Kits for my 05. It plugs in the back of the stock head unit and allows me to connect my phone with Bluetooth, as well as aux. It also has a USB input so I run my phone charger and the aux cord through the storage compartment under the climate controls. It's a very good product, would recommend.
