I went around all seams, and lens edges, etc. with silicone sealer,in hopes to relieve this problem; but will probably put a condom over the camera before washing the car.
All in all, for a $70.00 camera, I'm not totally disappointed.

Heya, how did you mount your camera to the hood? Is it screwed into the trim? or did you use tape?

I used the molex connectors and found a Backup Cam that was fitted for an 2008 Accord.
( Honda Accord reverse rear view camera, car rear view camera for accord) this camera was $50.00 and fits in the license plate light. I didn’t want an exposed wire and I wanted a clean OEM look.
Followed all the instructions in the beginning of this thread.
Modifications from instructions:
I had to trim the molding piece to fit the camera footprint but a razor and a file was easy enough. I then used touch up paint to re-paint the trimmed area. (Yes Anal, I know but this will keep the paint from chipping) I also used the backup light as a power source for the camera. (Idea not my own but a good one)
I have included a link to the pictures of the install and camera display in the navi unit

Looks great! A couple questions. How did you attach the camera to the trim piece? And how are you lighting your rear plate? Aren't you missing a bulb now? So that means your license plate is half lit, I'm assuming.

Looks great! <--- Thanks
The Camera Clips into the opening of the old License late light. Hook and clip as shown in the hanging Camera Image it just clips into place. As for the lighting the camera has two LEDS as shown in the image from the purchase site.

do you think you could take some pics with the lights on while youre outside at night so we can see how the lighting on the license plate is now? do the leds light up white on the camera or the regular color?

I also would like to know, I'm in the process of doing the backup camera, but want the cleanest look. However, I have white LED license plate lights and don't want it to look mismatching.

Thanks for the great directions. Just installed this in my 08 and works great. The harness was easy to make and the camera goes on when I shift into reverse. The $72.00 I spent at Fry's is well worth the money.
