Depending on the look you are going for, you can get 3000k (yellow) or get 4300k to match your HIDs. All aftermarket fogs seem prone to cracking so don't worry about having to buy a high end fog like Password:JDMs. I been through like 2 ebay, and 1 password jdm set and they all crack. You can replace the lens with lexan or lamin-x to protect the glass.

In terms of HID kits, I bought a slim, digital HID kit from ebay to mount easily. You don't have to spend a fortune on it.

If you are interested in the JDM yellow look, I have a set of custom fitted projector fog lights for a 04-05 for sale.

Personally, I like the matching HID look for low beams and fogs. 6000k or 4300k look great in that set up.

it'll blind less because most HIDS are meant to be run in a projector. It helps focus the light intensity, and there is a cut off. HID kits aren't really meant to be placed in headlights not designed for HID use because the light will reflect all over the bowl and blind the oncoming driver. Plus, there is no cut off for HIDs in halogen housings really...If you ever have seen people with HID kits that blind the crap out of you, that's why.

You can run HID fogs if you aim them down though.

You can probably buy a whole new kit off of ebay for cheaper then you could buy just once replacement housing.

Lamin-x isnt hard but cutting the lamin-x yourself with out the tools is a bit hard from scratch.

I made a diy for fixing the fogs.

to not blind people have your hids dipped in paint. I had the tips of my hid lights coated with a special heat resistant paint that covers the front from shining into peoples face, so it does not glare at all. The OEM shields are in place as well.
