Canada Need some help

What would be better 2 8" sub or 1 10" sub? not looking
for crazzy bass just a good thump . Thinking of get the
jl w3 but also like rockford subs to.. have 2 rockford amps
any help would be great

I think as far as output goes they are pretty much the same. A single 10" will potentially take up less space but two 8's look more balanced if you will. There are a ton of wicked 10" subs out there but perhaps only a small handful of worthy 8's.

As for the 10W3 choice, I am quite positive you can get a better sub for less money. For many years I have been building systems and one of the least exiting subs out there that I have come across is the JL W3 series. Not a lot of output and the price is a little steep for a steel basket sub. Honestly a Type R would have more output and sound better. Of course, this is ONLY MY OPIN ION! Please take time to listen to other options at your local car stereo shop.

Another thing to note is: Make sure you have the enclosure custom built or pre-fabbed strictly to spec! The right box could make all the difference when setting up your sound system.

what i was thinking of doing is 2 8" or 1 10" firberglass enclosures side mounted ..
how good are rockford subs?

Rockford subs are 'ok' but I think their best days are behind them. More obscure but great sounding brands are Elemental Designs, Digital Designs, Resonant Engineering, FI etc...
