solara and mazda 6 in their auto-SS mode...

I got to drive a solara and a mazda 6 in their auto-SS mode... and man they suck badly... its nothing like the tsx, in a sense that the gears still switch by itself both up and down... I was wondering what purpose it held other then ... well looks? and Mazda 6... the manual mode is backwards! you push UP to downshift and down to Upshift... what the hell is that? solara was relatively quiet and some what fun to drive, Mazda 6 in Manual mode was just plain torture,

yet another reason to be happy driving a TSX...

although... TSX does cost a lot more $$$

my mom has a solara with the sport shift. when i first tried it i thought it was cool. but yes it does suck. it takes forever to shift. too long of a delay. in all actuality im not a big fan of the car.

actually...there was at one point alot of people who wanted the sport shift on the TSX to work the way it is on the Mazda 6... I test drove a G35 last week and it's set up like the TSX.

Hmmm.....don't really know which way is "right" for that, although I do remember at some point someone had a big issue with the direction of the shift in the TSX and modded the shifter to go the other way......
