Failed Badly!

Header Failed

Carb Legal in 2004 Acura TSX -- ONLY!
DC Sports Fails to mention that anywhere on their website, I almost killed them when they finally admitted that they fausly advertise their header as being SMOG carb legal for 04/05, when it's only for 04! 05 is pending, they will hope to get a yes within a month.

PCV Hoise Was "Blue" Non factory OEM hose (custom hose) must be the black oem hose to pass visual inspection if you have modified intake

My nox levels failed the 15mph: max 417 I got 788 (Damn)
My nox levels passed at the 25mph: max 704 I got 80

I have an appointment at Midnight Peformance Monday to check out what's going on with the nox levels, they want to make sure I don't have an exhaust leak or my fuel/air tuning is off. Anyways, I was happy to know that they have the exact same equipment as the smog stations, therefore they won't let me leave until I get my levels correct.

They only thing out of my hands is the issue with the headers. I have 1 month before my court date, I will try to push it further. Either i'll put my factory ones back on (more money out of my pocket) then put the DC back, or hopefully they can get carb legal for the 05's.

I wonder why you failed so badly. My guess is it's the tuning. Did you leave the Apex unit in when you did the test?

Do you have any idea what your a/f ratio is at? You should get something to monitor your a/f ratio, that way you'll always know how the engine is performing.

Put stock headers back on, stock cat loose, I did have an exhaust leak, that's why the nox level was so high. Passed test.

Just remember that your tone with the officer can greatly change the outcome of the scenario.

I am not saying you were in any wrong, I am unsure of the scenario because I wasn't there, and I know there are some power-trippin cops out there. lol

But the best thing to do is to just co-operate with the police officer. Do not talk back, do not give him any issues, even if he does. And when you are done with him, ask for his badge #, unit , platoon / squad, and file a civilian complaint. If you start a pissing match with the officer, the officer is more likely to give you a harder time than if you be completely compliant and co-operative.

But yeah, glad to see that you got your car issues solved. I just picked up my 04 TSX and I'm lovin it! Just like McDonalds
