Warning to anyone that is thinking about J's Exhaust
Well I just wanted to throw this out there. I have the J's 60RS exhaust. J's exhaust is known for a part in the resonator to break lose and to cause a loud and annoying viberating noise. I would compare it to a car with a system and the licence plate rattling. I understand J's racing makes an exhaust to be lightweight. I called AJ and this is a known problem. Colts pointed out an exhaust on there website ( http://www.aj-racing.com/catalog/pro...cat=106&page=1) that is reinforced resonator that helps the problem. I just wanted to point this out to anyone that may have this problem or gets the exhaust and occurs this noise.
I love the exhaust but its embarrasing to drive my car around because the noise is so loud. AJ is going to call J's racing on monday and replace the B pipe. Props to AJ for taking care of this for me. I do have to say that their customer service on stuff like this is top notch.
Ben

When did you get the exhaust I suppose the old batch has this problems I thought J's address this problem when they replace it with the new FX series.

So how many miles you put on the exhaust before you know it rattles.

2k maybe. Supposely the mesh on the inside isn't secured very well. And a bump or if you hit the exhaust it will come lose.

So can you place an extra weld on it somehow to secure or wait for the replacement b-pipe from J's and the long wait time.

Unless I find a shop that can cut into the titanium no..Colts came up with the idea of just getting a straight pipe..I am going to see what they say on monday and go from there.

I was thinking of that route also that is cutting out the titanium resonator and run a straight pipe but I guess it is going to be louder or maybe you can replace it with another stainless steel resonator but you have to find a shop that can weld it to the titanium. I guess the 70RR is worry free since it has no resonator but no cat and JDM header for street car is no.

wow that really sucks. I like the J's but i guess not. I only liked it because people said it was good for performance and sounds good. But I always thought it looked like a load of trash. The pipesdon't look right and now you're saying it makes an annoying noise. That's enough warning for me. I guess you need to buy the good brands for exhaust and engine upgrades. Thanks for sharing!

J's exhaust isn't a "bad" exhaust. The piping is titanium and i don't consider it to be trash. I am in no way bashing the J's exhaust but more wanted to warn people about the issue. Obviously J's will send out a new B pipe to fix the problem. My guess is that it will be fixed like they did the fx series. I would consider J's a good brand but that is your opinion.

the piping is great on the exhaust. the only problem is the insides of the resonator come loose. Exterior construction of the exhaust is amazing.
