Maintenance required?
hello everyone. I have an 04 TSX auto with 49k on it if any of tht matters but to make a long story short, for the past month the maitenance reqd light has been flashing for about 5 seconds after the car is turned on and then it goes off. Now all of the sudden the light stays on when I turn on the car and doesnt go away. What does this mean? How can I find out what is required to be fixed? Also, how do i reset it? thanks!

When the Maintenance Light starts blinking, it is just an indicator that you should service your car soon. Once it stays on, it means you have reached your service time and should get serviced.

Just follow the reset procedure that we posted here a while back. Its pretty easy to do, and its also in the owner's manual (I think you said that you don't have one of those though...)

Does anyone know exactly what the 50K service is and what are all the things I have to service. I do not have an owners manual. Thank you.

Its actually in the glove box of all places. You have to take off the glove box door to remove and replace the filter.
Here's a thread on replacing the cabin air filter:
Cabin Air Filter Replacement
I hope this helps. I haven't actually replaced mine on my own, but its not too difficult.
Good luck!

Does anyone know if there is a maint reqd light on the 06+? My car has the Maintanence Minder thing and I think it specifically tells u what service is due rather than just the maint reqd light. I had an oil change required and the car just told me that..

Go into your car, press on the brake, then press and hold the RESET button on your cluster. Turn the key to ignition(II).
You should hold the reset button until the light turns off. Usually take 10 secs
Make sure you are holding the button and also have your foot on the brake before and after turning the key to ignition.
