I'm sure by the time your warranty runs out you will have the option for an '08 reflash. If not, you'll definitely hear from kuma about switching an 06 ECU for an 08. A similar situation would be the reject 05 Automatic (my car). I would need to switch my ECU for an 04 Auto ECU. I'm sure you'll be able to do what kuma is doing.

Test
shouldnt you test if the 06 ECU will start 07/08 car first before sending to KPRO IT, it would save money

The 06 ecu won't start the car and I'm not gonna bother with pairing it to the car. Its an unnecessary step.

Haha... yeah That-TSX-Kid, you're lucky. Your reflash just recently became available. I hope I get that good news for 08 TSX in the future.
I don't want to screw up my warranty in anyway yet, so the only real mods I can look at right now are maybe rims & tires. Any other performance mods you guys can think of that won't affect warranty?

this is the way warranty works:
if you modify a part, that part is no longer under warranty.
but if something happens, then you switch back to stock before
bringing the car in you are back under warranty.
nothing can void the warranty for the entire car, that is a myth.
just call you local Acura service department and ask them, I did.

For those interested in getting Hondata, I have taken the initiative to set up a group buy with Shawn @ Churchs Automotive in Wilmington, CA. Please see thread for details
Hondata Group Buy - $510!!! This friday!!!!(Cali)
Yeah, I know the majority of us in the GB is in California and will likely drive there. However, Shawn is willing to honor the GB discount for those who want to ship their ecu's in (+- few days after posted GB date; which is still to be determined). We're on track to get a 12.6% discount, which is a 75$ discount. And assuming 2-3 will flake, we will still have a 11.% discount, which is 60$ discount, bringing the cost of Hondata to 520-535$... off from 595$ retail.

okay from what i understand kpro allow controls the AF and timing and vtec point in ur car, the tsx ecu still starts the car , so if u can pair the 06 ecu and start of course kpro will work

no.
not that easy at all.
the stock ECU controlls everything but the engine.
meaning the entire cluster. speedomoter, tach, etc.
the cluster is where this could go bad.
and driving around without a working cluster in a tsx isn't
really an option on the table right now.
it's not just about getting the ecu to work, it's about getting
the entire car to work, including the dual ecu's.
