Get intake 1st because it's cheaper then exhaust and has been performance for the price.

Comptech Ice box, ahh another great choice because of the given better response but less hp compared to an CAI, so there are Pros and Cons for both.

I say go AEM SRI =P I'm a big fan of short rams. They're a bit louder but you get power from 3k to 7k rpm.

Is there an actual difference between the Intake brands?

They are all around the same price and the the welds look the same.

+1 for SRI, that's what I run.

Just get the cheaper one in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong, an intake is just a piping with a filter. There isn't really any difference except the name. Me and a friend made a SRI out of an old intake tube and a K&N filter for my friends mazda mx-6.
