Another Convert!

Okay, I know I shouldn't post twice, but the post was all buried in the "New Owners" thread! I am so thrilled with my new purchase though and I wanted to make sure it was easily seen, so here is what I wrote in the other thread:
__________________________________________________ ______________
Hey all! Glad to see there is a TSX enthusiast forum! I am a former NissanTruckophile (Titan and Frontier S/C on Titantalk.com) and needed (wanted) to go back to cars since I no longer needed a truck for towing . The last car I owned was a 92' Honda Accord LX and it was bulletproof, so I decided to rejoin the flock, but took a step up to an Acura!

So far my TSX is GREAT! Its brand new 06' MT nighthawk black on ebony interior (no nav though). Sharp as heck! The toys and gadgets are great, but as of right now I am a little underwhelmed with the acceleration (handling is STELLAR though!), but then again, I am coming from a modded Titan and I am still breaking the engine in and have yet to rev past the VTEC point.

Being a modest modder on my Nissans (CAIs, exhausts, pulley swaps, exterior mods, etc.) I am already chomping at the bit for a little more performance once the engine is broken in. I know its a no-no to ask stupid questions without first searching, but being the 06' is new and slightly changed from the 04'-05's, anybody have impressions on what would be good performance mods for the 06'? I am definitely looking at the Hondata ECM flash as a start, but as for CAIs and such, the engine has already been "improved", so is there any room for improvement (outside of headers)?

Jim

It's great since you have the 06 6MT, Hondata already has released a reflesh for that, and 06 TSX will gain 32HP (overall)~!!! You can also do CAI, Injen should be the best. But if you want less noise, you can stick w/ Comptech Icebox. You might send an e-mail to Comptech or DC and ask if their Header will fit on the 06. If you are a huslter w/ alot of dough, you can go for Comptech Supercharger if they release for 06 later on. Also you can get Engine Upper Tie Bar (Strut Bar) and Rear Sway Bar from Neuspeed, Comptech, Progress. These will improve your ride alot. Also coilover and........ too much to mention.

2. handling
3. speed

Man this is sweet! Not even an hour posted yet and already helpful responses! Well, looks like I have a lot to consider with not a lot of money to burn (for now). Sounds like the first best bang for the buck would be the ECM reflash. Anybody know what changes Acura made to the 06' intake versus the 04'-05' intakes? I asked the mx guy at the dealer I bought it at and all he mentioned was "more access" to colder air, whatever that means.

Many people have talked about the 06 intake vs. the 04-05 and it's been proven that most aftermarket intakes will mate up to the 06 even though they may not be labeled as such. Just search around and you'll find tons of info!
