TSX dilema, wait for the 6spd or get AT now?

I am buyin an ABP 06 TSX 6spd w/ Navi..............which should be in around the end of april..........the dealer jsut got an 06 ABP AT w/ Navi on the lot which I could get now........I drive a lot and want the 6-spd to make driving more fun.....basically what would you do, and does the 6-spd make the TSX a much more fun car to drive?

If you are willing to wait for the 6MT, might as well wait, though you said you drive a lot and the 6MT is more fun. The 5AT is not bad since its just as fun as the 6MT since it has sportshift minus the clutch, and if you just want to get the car right away then go for that one. Otherwise wait till April.

Look at it from the standpoint of like 3 months down the road. I am a person that if I don't get exactly what I want I will be bored even if it's close to what I want but not exactly. I will still regret it later. I have been without a car for up to 8 months because I coulden't find what I wanted in the right color or because I coulden't find it in a stick shift. If it was me I'd wait because I know a few months later I would be bored with it and wanna trade. If you can drive either or without a big differance and be happy go for it. Yea sportshift is nice but it's still not like havin a clutch. And it still don't sound like a stick when you shift. You can't do all those fun things like let it roll back a lil or rev it kinda high takin off from a light. Plus the six speed and nav combination is kinda hard to come by I know I have one so just wait it will be worth it.

WAAIIIIIITTTT!

I have never seen anyone regretting getting the 6 speed but I have seen few posts with people that couldn't wait a few months on a car they will keep for 5-10 years. So you would rather live with an automatic for 5-10 years wondering how nice it woulda been to have a MT because you couldn't wait a few months. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait either. So I found the car I wanted in Florida and flew from San Diego, CA and drove it back. That was nuts but they botched my special order and I got tired of waiting for Red Ebony MT. You will not regret the MT, but there is a 90% chance you will regret the auto since it sounds like that is what your really want. Good things take time and patience but in the end it is SO worth it!

Wink Let Me Go Against the Grain

I say get the automatic.

Most charge extra for an automatic so you can look @ it as getting a very expensive feature for free or that they already built the cost of an automatic into the price so you might as well get everything you pay for.

Not sure but I have heard that automatics have better resale value, too.

Finally, as someone who probably has A.D.D. & constantly has to multitask, I enjoy not having to shift bc it leaves my hands free to do everything but have both on them on the wheel.

It goes w/out saying that you cannot go wrong w/ either bc the TSX is a great car.
