Nose Mask?

I am planning on driving down to Dallas from NYC for Easter and was planning to get a the nose mask for the TSX to prevent rock chips. I know the mask isn't the most attractive add-on to the car, but I just plan to use it on long trips.

Do you guys recommend getting one? And for those that have it, how easy is it to take on and off?

Leo

Nose Mask will be a cheaper alternative in this case. You can also get those 3M Clear Bra for the front bumper, but it's quite expensive.

wow that's long distance ! man I'd rent a car for that and it'd be cheaper too with a compact rental.
Anyway, it is widely believed that nose mask does more harm than good. That's why you rarely see one on car-crazy people's cars. I 'm not aware of any member having one

If they're on for a long time and the person doesn't take care of it yes they can cause damage. However for a road trip it won't be a problem. I'm getting one soon for when I go to MI for the ITR expo.

Make sure the car is totally clean and put it on. Don't take it off until you're back otherwise dirt will get in between the paint and mask when you put it back on for the return trip.

Keep in mind the nosemask will not fit if you have a lip kit.

why do you want a nose mask especially for a large trip??? to protect the front for stones and so on? the stones can hit your front in all the short trips also. and what if one mean stone decides to pass your front and hit your side or front window????
just keep a large enough space between you and the one who drives in front of you

I know it can happen even on short trips, but the probability is higher on longer highway driving. There isn't much I can do about debris that hits my side or front window, but I just want to take as much a precaution as I can to prevent damage.

My TSX doesn't have the lip so the mask should fit.
