Question about my TSX, please help
I have been driving my 2004 TSX for about 3 years. I just noticed a thing yesterday:
When I have the turning light on and make a full turn of the steering wheel, I can hear 2 ticking sound under the steering wheel. I went to the dealer and the mechanic told me that it was the mechanism of turning light auto off and it was always there since day 1. I think he is right but I just can not believe I never notice that sound for 3 years.
So I want to check with owners here to see if you guys have the same sound with your TSX?
Thanks very much.

If it's what I think your dealer is referring to, then it's 100% normal. It's the self-cancelling mechanism of you indicators engaging and the stalk returning to default position again.
Nothing to worry about, and it is one of those things you notice and wonder why you never did before.

It is not the sound of the indicator turning off, but It seems to be the sound that the self-cancelling mechanism is engaging. there are 2 consecutive ticking for the steering wheel to go from the middle to full right/left. With minor turning that does not engage indicator self-cancelling, I do not hear a thing at all.
Is this totally normal?
Thanks guys.

Is it your keys swinging around hitting the steering column and such?

Nop, it is not my key, and it is a constant ticking under such circumstance.
So, you are saying that you do not hear this sound with your TSX?
I am really confused.
