do you think our horn is weak?

I was coming to realize sometimes our horn is completely useless...
Today there was alot of traffic on this main road to the mall, and people were just cutting off people off and on. A lot were not even look. I had to hook people that they almost hit me as they changed lanes...

So i dont know if anyone has changed out their horn?
my friend's wrx just got hella supertones.

I was looking at wiring about it not sure anyone know anything about it but im guessing our stock relay doesn't have enough power for aftermarket horns.

Its just a thought.

I like my horn. It sounds like a bigger car, not like my old teg.

I think its very effective and loud.

My grandpa's old 1987 Caddilac had the best horn. It sounded like a damn freight train!

Red face Sensitive

I guess it is loud enough, I have never really had to use it thankfully.

However, the steering wheel is way too sensitive, I accidentally hit the horn often - usually when I am pulling my book bag from the passenger seat as I am getting out of the car.

I agree, I can't even clean my steering wheel....it'll honk even with the slightest touch.

As for the sound of it...I think it fits the typical characteristic for a honda horn. If I put an aftermarket horn and honked, they might think it was someone else and not me who's pissed off at them ;-P

"typical characteristic Honda horn" - you know, that's weird, because I've thought the TSX's horn is unlike the horn on other Hondas I've owned.

I've owned a 86 Accord and a 2001 Civic, and both of those have what I've always thought of as a "foreign car" horn. More of a "beep" than a "honk", if you know what I mean. I owned a Buick LeSabre from about 1997 though 2001 and that had a big 'ol American car "honk!" horn.

The TSXs horn (to me, and I own an 06) sounds much more like the horn on my Buick than the other Hondas I've owned.

IIRC, the TSX horn sounds a lot like the horn on the MDX. I like to have a horn that sounds bigger than my car.

I recall watching a video made by some guys selling huge truck airhorns for cars. It was so stupid. They'd drive past people eating outdoors at a restaurant's patio, and WAAAAAAAAAA! You could see people jump and look. Man, that's a good way to have someone come after you and rough you up.

So, yeah, I'll keep my normal horn. :-)

I guess I don't use it often either, but it's OK. Loud enough to be heard, but it doesn't sound like a "tough car" sound to me, so I think it might be a tad "wimpy". That's ok though -- if I'm going to honk, I would rather make it a "polite" honk rather than one likely to provoke more than it might already. :-)
