backlight on seat heater switch went out... fix?

Does anyone have any printed instructions for replacing the back-light bulb in the seat heater switch? My dealer says it will cost about $100 to replace the bulb!

same here, driver-side one dead.
I never bothered to replace it because I pulled the center console before for DVD-Navi mod. Don't ever want to do it again. I don't want to nor do I want dealer to pull the console.

if you're still under warranty DEALER SHOULD REPLACE IT FREE !!!

Well, checking with the two acura dealerships here, the bulbs are parts that are warranted for only 20,000km/1 year.

Burrard Acura here indicated that it would cost slightly less than $50.00 to change it out. Not cheap, but definitely cheaper than the Lougheed Acura Quote of $100!

True... That's what dealers do... that's how they survive "profitably". If you run a business, wouldn't you do the same, and make sure your profit margin was high enough to ensure the longevity of your business? Who runs a business to "just make ends meet"? It would be downright stupid.

The key for us consumers is to look for the best deal.

If I can do it myself, trust me, I would. But the panels look pretty tricky to pull apart to replace the bulb, without scratching it.

it is indeed ! super hard and tricky to pull up that panel.

To remove center console, pretty much same instructions as the short shifter install. Just goto neuspeed's website and download the TSX short shifter instructions.

My car is stock, I promise.
