G37 is sweet/fast if you want a couple. If I had the money I would go IS350 right now. The choice for me would come down to whether I want a couple or sedan. I think the IS does look better, but the 37 is hotter than the 35. If it's between 35 and IS, the IS for sure.

I was in the same situation few months back, I was looking at the G37, IS350, and the 335.
G37 is nice, probably the fastest out of the bunch, its not as nicely equipped as the Lexus or the BMW, but the car is just fast! Gas mileage was terrible but man the cars really fun to drive and sounded really good!! Only reason I skipped this is because its only a coupe (I thought I could do away with a coupe, until we test drove it and the salesmen had to get in the back) and the dealership is like an hour away.
Did not really want to get the 335 mainly because of the dealership around here, the salesmen acted like a jerk (during one of the test drives, he actually told me the Japanese cant make "drivers" car). The car itself is very nice, probably the sharpest out of the all the ones I was looking at. However, the car was noisy, probably due to the run-flat tires; but if it was not for the dealerships bad impression, I would've gotten the BMW.
I did end up getting the IS350 for 2 big reasons. First one is that the salesmen/dealership was really nice, when we first arrived at the dealership and exchanged small talks, he gave us the keys and told us to come back when we were done (first time ever when a sales person did not come with us during the test drive). The second one is that this car can be a very good daily driver and a maniac when you turn on the "power" mode. The IS350 is the closest car that felt like it was a powerful upgrade to my TSX...very agile, rock solid build quality (I dont think BMW and Infiniti matches Lexus quality, my friend/family who owns BMW actually told me to STAY AWAY from them), and a fast car when you want it to be.
After test driving all the car, I came to this conclusion few months back: all 3 of them are really fast cars (G37 being the fastest, 335/IS350 just as fast G37), BMW and Lexus are the better daily-driver car, and in my opinion, IS350 felt like the best car that would replace my TSX.

Why don't you wait until the fall and see what the new gen TL looks like? I know everybody is scared of the power-plenum griller, but there have been rumors that it "looks amazing."
In any event, both the IS and G are great cars in their own right.

i have worked for Infiniti for 4 years now, and though I cannot afford a new car at this point, schooling and all I must say the g35 2007-2008 is amazing, the g37 is a nice car but is not as fast as the g35, though sad the 4 door is faster than the 2 door, nevertheless infiniti is working on fixing that for next year. the 3.5 liter sedan ends this year with the 3.7 from the coupe coming to the sedan next year, gas mileage is more predictable in the 3.7 motor though i have seen plenty of g35 customers with 22+ city highway 50/50 and yes the regular seats are plenty boring and at times uncomfortable, i feel the sport seats are amazing, an upgrade within packaging requirements that is costly but with everything you get its worth it. i am a service writer and the g35 and g37s have not had any problems when compared to our other models, or even the 2003-2006 g35s which had plenty of faults here or there. the 2008 g35S or g35xS is a wise choice, and yes the throttle blip issue on the automatics was cured for 2008, if you have a 2007 we do have a ecm reprogram for the problem. The new 6 speed manual, the enthusiasts choice is problem free and a whole lot more fun. hope this helps, me being brand loyal aside.

enjoying paying the overage for the "maintenance" on the 335i it will require 3 maybe 4 oil changes in those 50,000 miles and though the twin turbo is easily faster than the vq in the infinitis maintenance costs are scarce on the infiniti and the 2007-2008 6 spd manuals feel great, especially compared to my 04 tsx. the tires that come on the g35S 6spd do suck honestly but what stock tires dont suck these days.
