Bluetooth question
I have an 06 and my phone is connected to the car radio through bluetooth. My question is how can I answer a phone call with just using my phone without the converstion being heard through the car radio. When I am in my car, my phone connects to my car automatically, and when the phone rings, I sometimes want to answer the call by using my phone without the converstion being heard by other people in the car. But when I answer the phone, the voice comes through the radio.

My cell phone has an option where you can use the phone instead of Bluetooth. Once you answer the call, you have to click on an options tab and select "use phone." I'm guessing that your phone will probably have the same option, you just have to look for it once you are connected to Bluetooth during a phone call.
Good luck.

My old phone used to pop up a menu when there was an incoming call, "retrieve in phone?" I can either select yes or no, or I can use the HFL to answer.
If you answer using the HFL, you can give it a command and say "Transfer". It'll transfer the call to the phone. I think it may even remember it for the next time (since some people have had issues where the calls kept going to their phones instead of the car).

With my phone (Nokia E65) if I pick up the call from the HFL button, it comes through the car speakers. If i pick up the call from the phone itself however, the call comes through the handset. My phone also has the feature that allows me to choose the HFL or the handset.

You can transfer a call that is active from the hands free link to the phone by pressing the Talk button and saying "transfer". It also does the reverse. I have used this to dial a number that is in the phone's address book, but not in the HFL list. You can also bring up the number you want to dial on the phone's display and then hit the talk button and say "dial" and then recite the number.
