4th post, 1st wreck.
So I've now had my TSX for a couple months, and in the ice in Indianapolis today, I had the first wreck of my life. On the highway.
I was late for work and was driving what is a normal speed for me around 70 in a 55.. I got into what I thought was the exit lane, but was actually the end of an on ramp - I didn't realize this until I looked up and saw a median coming out in front of me. I swerved left (my first mistake on ice), then realized there was a van in the lane I was trying to enter, so I hit the brakes (my second mistake on ice). The anti lock and traction control kicked in, but not before I found myself careening across all three lanes of morning traffic.
I somehow managed to avoid hitting a single car, though when I'd spun 180º and was facing the driver of a white ford van white sliding laterally through his lane, we exchanged a look of pure horror - and then I hit the sidewall of the highway.
I was facing traffic, but off on the shoulder far enough to avoid getting hit again, and all the other cars reacted perfectly by doing nothing. I got out to look at damage and saw a few other cars pulled over, one guy was within shouting distance, confirmed I was unhurt, and drove off, the rest followed suit.
I feel extremely lucky. I was able to walk away unscratched, and drive the car away with a wobble and the steering wheel cocked a bit to the left.

Yeah i would consider yourself lucky that's all that happened. Damage doesn't look too bad i would just have insurance take care of it.

Dang, glad to hear you're ok but that sucks. At least now it looks like you have altezza lights...as if that is even a positive LOL. Well at least it isn't really your fault, jus tell insurance u hit black ice and lost control. Leave out the fact that you're late for work, speeding, getting in the wrong lane etc haha

You are very lucky that only the car was damaged, but should expect when you rush + All-Season tires.
Also the damage wasn't as serious as I thought (when I read your paragraph), shouldn't be that much to repair.

Glad to hear that you're ok - that's what is important.
Damage might not look too bad, but it looks pretty pricey to repair. Hood, headlights, fender, doors, rear bumper and quarter panel, tailights - hopefully insurance can take care of it quickly and smoothly and get you back on the road in no time.

haha, I'm a bit of a dramatist when I write about experiences, so need for sorry . Thanks all for your replies. I went and got a quote today for $3300 to put it back to stock, and I'm about to start up a new semester at school so unless I act fast to figure out any mods to do (which I won't have time to do) it will probably end up back at stock.
I saw a few suggestions for headlights. is there any particular reason I shouldn't go back to stock? I've not had this car long, so my knowledge of options and mods for it is limited, but growing.

glad ur ok.. sounds like it could of been worse.
My beater just got hit and run the other day.. so in a way... I kinda know how you feel.. 600 dollars later, I've decided not to fix the damage.
It's a 2004 Pontiac Vibe btw. with less milage than my TSX.......

You're like my boy when it comes to dramatic explanations lol. But for the headlights the diff would be going to Euro or JDM would be that you wouldn't have amber, instead it would have a tint of blue there, nothing serious but it wouldn't be basic and clear and it looks real clean. The blue tint is nice if you go the route of JDM but it's expensive...about $800 just for the headlights to be exact. If you go JDM you would have to swap out projectors too which could be a hassle. Since our lights are designed to point away from oncoming traffic and Japan they drive on the opposite side as us so it would wind up blinding the other drivers if you don't swap.
We are trying to get a group buy going for the REPLICA headlights (chk link in my sig) and it will be a lot less and already have the projectors in there and they are pretty good according to those who have em. Much better price than JDM. Your call, you can always go back to stock and swap out later. Idk how you can mod WHILE in college. I graduated in 07 and then got my car since now I have that income to spend. Freakin tuition was ricockulous

Reason: make sure I state group buy is for the "replica lights"
