maint req light blinks on and off when car first turned on.. but then shuts off after a few times... goot or badd.....?? whts it mean

Either the service technician did not reset the maintenance minder after your last service, or you are due for a service soon. Light usually comes on around 7500 miles after the last reset. If it stays on continuously, then you are getting overdue

Put the key in the iginition put into run, but without starting the car. Then hold the trip reset bottom for 10sec.

This might just be in addition to all the lights turning on. If you don't need the car to be serviced then it won't stay on. It probably is just like how the oil light comes on and the light for the passenger air bag being off does when you start it. If it's need the car will tell you in the MID.
