A/C Display Question

The manual states that to troubleshoot the A/C pressure switch and thermal protector, I need to perform the following:

1. Turn the ignition switch ON
2. Press the AUTO button, then press the A/C button and check the display.
Does the display indicate A/C ON?
YES: Go to step 3.
NO: Check for loose or poor connection on the climate control unit...

On my car, pressing the A/C button after pressing AUTO, display shows A/C OFF.

Can anyone confirm if they are getting the same results on their car and the manual eff'd up? Or your display shows A/C ON after pressing AUTO?

Luuster,

Our 2006 TSX reacts the exact same way as yours. We have no issues with our AC.

Thanks for checking. Much appreciated.

I wonder what else can it be if I'm not getting 5V power to the Thermal Protector and Pressure Switch. When I turn on the AC, my compressor or my condenser fan doesn't engage.

When I jump the pressure switch, the compressor and condenser fan kicks in.

When I had such a problem in the car, I tried to solve it myself, just like you, but only aggravated the problems with the electronics. It would be better if I immediately turned to specialists who would help me. It turns out that in my case, when I had such a mistake, I just had to add freon and clean the radiator because it was dirty. I already had to find an air conditioner cleaning service on the Internet and came across this one airconservicingsingapore.com. However, I still need to save up money for cleaning the air conditioner, and I hope I won't have to pay a lot.
