its not very hard/time consuming for me to do it. plus, salt just eats away at susp parts, so resale value IMO will deff go down. i always swap my parts for the east coast winters. but im glad that i was able to narrow it down to my wheels/tires.

took my wheels into my buddies shop, nothing wrong with the wheel/tire. so i grabbed my hub-centric rings, and sure enough, they were the wrong size. they were a tad to small, thus casuing my wheel to not sit 100% flush with the hub. i wont be re-installing them until the spring, but hopefully new rings will be the answer!!!

Nice work in finding the problem.
Were the hub rings too tight in the wheel or too tight on the hubs on the car?
I did note that the hub centric rings fit my new wheels nicely but I never did actually test fit them on the hubs other than a quick measurement.

the rings fit nice and tight on the hub, but not on the rim. it wasn't off by much, but i guess thats what it was.

I've never used hub rings on my personal cars and I've never had a vibration issue. If you tighten the lugs by hand you should not have an issue here, hub rings or no.

Sooo, i've had the same exact problem for a while as some of you have described. shaking between 60-68 and instantly going away right after. so my tires are basically brand new still, but jsut to make sure i took the car to bfg and got all them re-balanced and have free balancing for the life of the tires and free rotation whenever i want. SO when i took it to the dealer the first thing they tried to tell me was its almost always the balancing of the tires and told them thats already done and i have the receipt, so knocked that out, she couldn't tell me mounts haha cuz those are under warranty also so they would have to replace em. So i'm glad i bought certified used instead of a private owner. this car is payin for itself.
Its at Thomas Acura in COVINA. After they figured out it was the axles just like i said, they took it right in, and i have a loaner just cuz they've been busy. I don't mind, this TL is Niiiiiiiice!

I just changed my axles today and the shaking went away under accelaration but its still shaking when it gets to 60mph. I'm going to align and balance to see if the shaking goes away. If it still shakes please let me know what else to look for, thanks.

The alignment won't help you. It is going to be the balance.

I have the same "shaking" issue too. Not sure if I have the money to get it fixed. I might just deal with it for now.

I've had that shaking problem for almost a year now and my mechanic keeps telling me it's the steering unit that is worn out, other people on forums are saying its the axles or the tie rods.
Did my balancing and even switched wheels to test if it's the wheels but it's not. How much is it usually to get a diagnostic at dealerships anyways? Don't want to change one part and find it's another part that is the problem.

Ok guys I went to my mechanic and check underneath the car for anything thats loose under there. He said I need a new steering rack. So my shaking was is 2 things not just 1. I fixed half of the shaking with were the axles and now I have to change the rack and pinion. So if your car is shaking under acceleration check the axles. If it's still shaking after that, check your steering rack.
