Did you even read what they quoted you? You do not need a new r driver door, handle, back windows and other stuff listed. The bumper appeared it can be repaired. The left quarter panel does not look irrepairable, but I may be wrong. A new rear quarter panel and replacement bumper with paint job should not exceed $2000 with labour. Find a new shop. Once again I may be wrong as I am basing my opinion on pictures alone.

The only parts being replaced are the outer panel, bumper, and suspension knuckle. He's being charged with labor on the other stuff. They have to remove those things to work on the damaged area. Thats why its so high.

More details about the accident would be nice, as to what happened and such. The quote is outrageous, they usually inflate quotes like that because they figure your insurance company is the one that will be paying for it anyhow... Why would you settle for 4500 when you have a bill i am not sure, probably has to do with the circumstances of the crash which again we dont know...

Ya, I just re-read and notice that they are going to remove and reinstall certain parts. Regards, I still believe the pricing is excessive.

It has the same system as the place i used to work at.
The estimate seems okay to me... I don't think you can get it repair with $3000 only.
Not sure about their labor cost tho.. since you cut it out of the picture.
where's the shop at/?

if you want to save up on some cost.. just get used parts for some of the items.
Rear Bumper cover.. (see if you're lucky enough to find someone selling a used and even better, same color)
for the wheels..($265.. throw in another $100, you can get a set of 4 used wheels already)
Mud guard (i think people are selling cheaper in the forum here)
Rear sus knuckle.. not sure why they didn't choose to get used tho. (you can look around for that too)
rear Lamp assembly, i think you can get this used for like $75..

If you have real structural damage, the 4500 will not even be close to being enough. If you find that when they start taking parts off and more is damaged, you are out of luck. I would try not to release them of liability, but wut are your other options?

It seems right to me. I had my civic quoted for about 6 grand. Got if fixed for 2 and pocketed the rest.

Theyre overcharging you by a SH*TLOAD... I had a rear end accident like that before and it was worse than yours and it only costed me about 3000

I wouldn't release liability, because just like some one else said, if you take off the cover and theres additional damage your going to end up goin in ur own pocket. Find the most reputable shop in your area, even some dealers, and if the parts guys are cool maybe you can get A spec rear bumper, thats if you ever planned on going that route later on, or just keep it oem as it was. The choice is Yours!

Somebody smashed into my tsx while it was sitting in my driveway. They damaged was the bumper only. The bumper was replaced and painted for less than a $1000. I would get some quotes elsewhere!
