Navi system shut down while driving.

So this morning I was driving to class and the navi system completely shut down and restarted... it did it twice...and then on the way home it did it FOUR times!!! Has this happened to anyone before? How could it be fixed?!?!

Thanks in advance.

This happened to me once..when i was on a road trip with my trunk full..i checked the trunk and the disc had been ejected..my baggage probably hit the eject button..aside from that, no problems.

Do you have subs? sometimes if theres too much vibration, the navi can't read the disc.

scratched up disc? or loose wire somewhere somehow?
i would remove the radio fuse and put it back to reset to see if that does anything. dont forget your radio code!

replace your negative battery cable.
its a common problem.
I had this happen to me before. the car even locked in gear and i had to turn the key off, put gear in N, and start the engine again then pull in D to continue driving.
