D2 RS-Coilovers
Anyone have these? I've emailed D2 about them to get spring rate information but i forgot to mention how low do they go.
Also, do they come with the adjustable top camber top hat?

You can slam the car with these. No the upper mounts are non-adjustable.
These are really similar to K-sports. They are sort of low grade performance but great for lowering on a budget with a decent ride quality. They are going to be firmer than stock for sure, but you won't be crashing around on them.

You know I reread my post and I see no hate at all. Just truth. These are not made for real performance. That are made mostly for taking cool pics to put online. Fancy pics of what the UPS man brings and fancy pics of cars lowered. That's what you wanted to know right? About lowering and overall opinion of the product?

Its cool it was mostly "..similar to k-sports....lowgrade performance" I don't own k-sports just a few places read on here people weren't pleased with them.
If they go too low that matters to me. 32 way dampening is a plus but I've read the top 3rd arent valved properly for the spring rate.

I believe they are 11k/fr and 6k/rr... But they are stiffer than the Buddy Club N+ and softer than the Tein Flex, that's for sure.

Here is a response.
Quote:
Thank you for your inquiry,
The springs rates for D2-H110 (Acura TSX) are 12.0F / 7.2R. Measurements
are in kg/mm. Please note that custom spring rates are available at no
extra charge if done at time of ordering. The coilovers do not have the
camber plates, as the chassis does not utilize them for camber adjustment.
Camber adjustment is done through the upper control arm for the TSX. A
camber plate on the coilover would be useless and would do nothing to alter
the suspension geometry. Please let us know if you have anymore questions.
Thank you.

You can't just say that though because valving has a lot to do with it as well. This is where the lower end kits lose to the Teins. Teins are valved for the specific springs they come with so any of the 16 clicks will have a good ride and handling balance, you just change the bias of the system.
On K-2-Clubs etc there are a bazillion clicks because the shocks are the same ones they use in like 20-30 different kits. So they go real stiff to real soft and you only have 3-5 clicks that are well suited to the springs your kit comes with.
Rating a system on spring rate alone is missing the point of all the engineering and testing that goes into a well-tuned kit. And for this reason the lesser expensive kits look like bargains. If you are only interested in the ride and the lowering, fine go for the bargain kit. But you will be missing out on the tuning and refinement of a higher end system.
There is no hate there man. BTW, we do list D2s on our site, F&F, and will be adding K-sport soon, as we realize there are a lot of folks less interested in performance and more interested in stats.

I had a friend that put Ksport on his Maxima, and it drove like crap. Im sure he could have cut the stock springs and it would have handled better.

after talking to a few people (non jdm) I'm starting to agree that Ksports are junk hate on them all you like.
Regarding the D2 RS's
Since I'm interested in a bag over coil setup, how much does the damper travel are they rebuildable (just in case i want to shorten the dampers), and what is the total length?
I searched but I couldn't find these answers.

The D2 are the SAME as the K-sports. Or at least withing spitting distance. There is a company in China that actually produces private label coilover kits and sells them to all kinds of USA companies. With a little money and a color scheme we can make YOU a coilover manufacturer.
