Chrome Painting Procedure
Sand the chrome surface with 220-grit paper then wipe off the sanding dust with a clean cloth and lacquer thinner. Next, spray the surface with self-etching primer. Two coats will do. Allow to dry then spray two or three coats of a high build primer over it.
Once dry, spray light to medium coats of the paint which shouldn't run. Spray in spurts for better results. This will be followed with two to three coats of a clear coat finish which you should dry for 30 minutes.
