I'm not going to race but neither do I want to feel like I'm sitting on my couch at home. Cars are for driving - I like focusing on paying attention to the road and making smooth shifts. My 6MT forces me to be more engaged in that way. If I need to eat and talk on the phone and fiddle with a stereo I'll do that at home.
