Whenever you get a chance, can you measure how wide the indent in the middle is?
Thanks in advance.

I'll do that on Friday when I get the roofwing installed. The indent is there because that's where the E60 has its third brake light.

Great, thanks. If it's not too much trouble, could you also measure the height of the spoiler where the indent is.
I'm hoping it will line up with my brake light.

the roof wing measure 44 1/2 inches for left to right.
approximately 3 inches from top to bottom.
from the top of the wing to the top of the indent is 2 inches.
the indent itself measure 13.5 inches from left of the indent to right of the indent.
from the top of the indent to the bottom of the indent is approximately an inch.
here are more photos. (excuse the mess in my room)

I got it installed this morning. Will take pictures of it later tonight when I take the tape off. It wasnt expensive at all. 40 dollars install. Materials used were 3M doubleside tape, and windshield specific silicone glue (its the stuff window installers use to glue windshield in place, its stronger than normal silicone glue)

I am starting to wonder if the current 3 series roof wing or the E39 5 series roof wing will fit the 1st gen.

I actually like the groove for what would be the 3rd brake light on the E60. Gives it some depth and allows it to stick out a bit and be a little more noticable.
I might have to copy you someday and get one of these.
