subwoofer question

I have an o9 tsx. It has what seems to be a free-air subwoofer. Can i buy a free-air sub to put where the stock sub is now?

I think replacing with another free air sub is not going to give you any advantages, you might even lose some quality. I would consider possibly building a box around the stock sub location, which might conflict with some trunk space.

the free air sub sounds terrible. I had a shop wire a 12"sub in my car straight from the stock deck. You have to get some adapters in order to do so. the whole install cost me $200 not including the sub. It took them about 2-3 hrs to do it.
