A year ago so many members wanted a V-6 TSX, now very few here are interested. Kind of interesting.

I read somewhere online about maybe having a diesel engine for the Acura TSX for 2010. I guess I was wrong. Personally, for me, if i get a car with a V6, it would have to be rear-wheel drive, like the Lexus IS or infiniti G models.
Why can't Acura produce a RWD car.

I don't think the V6 is necessary. Why don't they just put a turbo on the i4?? I would be much more interested in a turbo diesel than a V6.

Diesel
The turbo diesel was scheduled for 2010 but that has been put on hold. Rumor mill had it that the 5 speed automatic version did not pass all 50 state's emissions test but other sources point to the high premium of diesel fuel that put it on the back burner.
Many have often wondered why the RDX turbo 4 cylinder has not been spread around as is typical for Honda. Some speculate that it is the less than impressive fuel consumption while others think that it will not fit under the hood of cars like the TSX. There is speculation that it may show up in the new Honda wagon which looks to be called the Crosstourer.

V6 TSX? No thanks. My '09 is the first 4 Cylinder/i4 that i've owned and i'm loving it. I spent under $100 bucks in gas for the month of Jan (just filled up) and my odometer just hit the 1k mark. Can this be possible with a V6?
Highly doubtful.

Surprisingly, you second gens aren't mad. You weren't notified that the V6 was coming when you bought the 4 cylinder.

If I wanted another v6 (not likely anytime soon) my first choice right now would be an 07 TL-S..I'll probably stick with honda/acura as long as they wake up from these ugly designs. I don't think the release of a v6 will have a negative impact on most tsx owners b/c as already mentioned, if the customers were in the market for a powerful car with a v6 they wouldn't consider the tsx in the first place. I think AWD with a turbo on the same 2.4 would be the best option. Sure gas mileage would suffer a bit, but AWD and a turbo would really help in places like canada.

I'd like to see a V6 model, but not at the expense of the i4.
I really wish that Acura would have some engine choice in their models. They do in the Hondas, usually at least 2 engine choices, but you have only one choice between Acura models (except for the TL, of course). They used to have plenty of choices, between Integras, the early CL/TL variants (3 I think), and later the CL or the TL. Now it's no more RSX, NSX, 1 TSX, 1 TL, and 1 RL (and SUVs).
I personally would love either the i4, 2.3 Turbo, or a V6. The SH system could also be optional, as well as the now standing tech package.
I had an RDX as a loaner over the weekend. That thing had some kick, at least at the low end. I would definitely throw down on that.

dedeman, u are absolutely right. why doesnt honda put a variety of engines and sport models in their line up. we all know honda is about value and simplicity.
lookin back i should have bought a IS350 or 06 330i, but instead i have a 05 tsx. i personally will not buy another honda, and i have owned 3 hondas. i luv my tsx but i will buy from another brand; more upscale....
a v6 tsx (preferably k23turbo) would help the image of the tsx. all the magazines say how under power the tsx is and if u have 4 or 5 adults in the vehicle, trying to merge on the highway, it would be a struggle for the k24.
the sh-awd would add 250-300 lbs, the maxima has 290hp to the front wheels, the altima has 270hp and mazdaspeed3 has 263hp, so it will not be any different. they could add a lsd and equal driveshaft, to eliminate torque steer. why is it that hyundai have a v8 and the RL have midsize sedan engine.

I used to drive an '06 330i. Once you see the pricetag on maintenance costs you'll understand why you love your Honda/Acura better...
