I think a lot of it has to do with the MT-105 and possibly the mugen oil filter. I'm sure tho' that the Motul racing oil I put in increased performance. I recommend purchasing the MT-105 and a Mugen High performance oil filter. I also added a skunk2 magnetic oil drain plug and mugen oil cap.

using race oil for a street car is NOT recommended. Race oil lacks the detergents and additives that oil made for street cars has. Race cars rarely sees the miles on a single oil change that street cars see. Race oil break down much quicker because of the lack of additives and do not have any cleaning agents. Because of this, blow-by particles, particluates, or water vapor aren't suspended in oil causing the oil to break down. Its because race engines are torn down and rebuilt after every race, they run race oil. In the long run you risk engine damage and cost over runs. No offense but you wasted your money. Besides changing oil will not increase performance significantly unless you run like 0W weight oils. Even then our engines only produce 205hp, and decrease in viscosity is only gonna net you like 1-2hp at the most. And you are not gonna feel that. Using race oil, you'll need to change the oil like every 500-1000miles. You definitely can't go extended range on race oils. Ask me how I know? I spoke with Quaker State's race division engineer at NOPI two years ago and he warned of using race oil in street cars. And he stated if you use race oil, you need to change the oil more frequently. He told me that they reformulated Ken Tran's drag car and drop the viscosity down from like 20-50 to 15-30 and were able to pick up an extra 100-150hp but his engine already produced in excess of 1000hp. Race oil are designed for minimum friction and viscosity where the engine only sees 150-500miles on a oil change, so they designed it without any detergents and additives a street engine needs. In conclusion, power to you and hope you have the money.
