Were you planning on using the AEM cone shaped filter? You can't fit that on your stock intake. The option that most guys seem to go without replacing their stock intake system is usually putting a K&N drop in filter, and removing the excess tubes and resonator at the bottom of the intake system. This allows better airflow and less restriction due to the bends and the resonator. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbparts/2005/acura/tsx/air_filter/k-ar-n.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_term=2005+Acura+TSX+Air+Filter+-+K%26N&utm_content=ymmbp_n&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base. People use that drop in filter. This set up is pretty much like the comptech ice box.

There is a FAQ/DIY on cold air intakes on its appropriate section on the forum.
