With K-Pro, you can tune and get better fuel economy AND get more power.
This is because the K-Pro has different fuel tables based on how much you are on the throttle and what RPM you are at. Keep in mind that when you are tuning to produce more power you are usually adding ignition and leaning out the air/fuel mixture (taking away fuel). So in a way, taking away fuel will give you more power and get you better gas mileage at the same time. Many people add parts that provide more air and require more fuel (ie, headers, SC), so that is what ends up making their their MPG go down.
After my last tune, in comparision to my Comptech ACM engine management box, my fuel economy improved when at part throttle / cruising. It went down during WOT and while in boost, but it was expected since I went from 320CC injectors to 520CC injectors and added 3 pounds of boost. I gained quite a bit of power though, so it was definitely worth it.
So it's really up to the user. I've heard of some of the RSX guys tuning their AF ratio even higher than 14.7, to allow better than stock fuel economy in certain RPMs.
With that being said, having the K-Pro will probably make you drive faster, so you're MPG will probably stay the same and would even go down if you upgrade other parts and drove agressively a lot. So, it's pretty much up to you and the way you drive. I can get 24-25 mpg on a good day or get like 18 mpg if I drive it like a stole it!
