Hey,

very nice ride. ;)

But one question, who's producer or dealer of the "Navigation to DVD conversion"?

ShowandGoTSX

well, im not sure who makes it, but many people should have this conversion. It is'nt to hard to find. The problem is, the hardware cost a lot of money.

ShowandGo... ride looks tight. The black wheels and the polished lip really are sharp...

As for the conversion, isn't this just using a DVD player with the stock nav LCD? Accord-Type-S... those conversion units are all over the place. There are group buys running all the time at the other forum. You can pick one up for between $125-175 dollars; then just add the player of your choice whether it's strictly a DVD player, another navigation/DVD combo, etc. I got my RGB converter for $125, and a 3/4 DIN DVD/MP3/Multimedia player for $99 that mounts in the storage compartment underneath the stereo headunit. The storage compartment lid closes to give the appearance that it's not even in the car when I'm parked. If you're more of an audiophile, the FM modulator that comes with the RGB converter won't be enough, so you'll have to pick up a Soundgate or Blitzsafe adapter to run your player audio directly into the headunit. $400 total is about right on the average --- do the install yourself to save money. PM me if you need more info...

This conversion allows me to use a rear camera. I am still deciding whether I should buy the camera or not. The camera cost around 200 dollars for a good one.

I just installed the SUN AUTO High Voltage System. I really like this product because it improves EVERYTHING from the battery to the car. I also finished painting my grill, but its a b i t c h to install, so im waiting for that.

Accord-Type-S... the converter I have (similar to the functions that ShowandGoTSX is using) has 2 inputs --- one for a DVD/media player, and the other for a rear camera. When you put the car in reverse, the video feed automatically switches over to the backup camera. What kind of converters are you looking at for $500??? Is it the Avelectronics version? While that one *is* plug and play, it's also huge. Most people end up mounting that in the trunk. I prefer to have my mods clean and stock looking. My converter is housed in the right kick-panel. The one I use requires some splicing of wires, or you can buy a plug and play harness for another $100. There are group buys going on for the converter all the time on the "other" forum in the Sponsored Sales section. The number of buyers in the group buy drives the cost of the unit down. If you're not sure what that forum is, PM me... I don't think I should be posting the URL to a competing site on here.

$125-175 for the converter (which uses an FM modulator for sound)
$100+ for a dvd/media player (depending on quality)

As optional equipment...

$5-10 for a GLI which I highly recommend (ground loop isolator to keep engine "noise" out)
$100 for a plug and play harness for the converter (if you're hesitant to cut/splice any wires)
$100 for a Blitzsafe/Soundgate auxilary input adapter (to run audio directly into your headunit because FM modulator sound quality isn't that great)
$30 for an OEM Y-Cable (to be able to plug the Blitzsafe/Soundgate auxiliary input adapter into your headunit without removing XM radio if you have a 2005 TSX)
$100+ for a backup camera (good/high-end ones start around $200)

PM me if you have more questions, or start another thread in the Electronics section... I don't want to hijack this thread anymore than I already have :)

Sorry ShowandGo... didn't mean to turn this into an audio/video discussion, so let me just add again that the ride is HOT! :) I've been wanting to pick up some black wheels for awhile now, but I'm REALLY picky... I'd have to custom fabricate some centercaps because I hate having anything look aftermarket. Btw, how is the ride on the 19's? Do you ever drive over bad roads? I don't think I'd ever be able to get away with that in NJ...
