As you all know by now most of the e-bay fog light kits have switches that dont fit with the tsx, so I had to use an aftermarket one, which is fine with me beacuse I wired em' up (thanks to peregrine) to only turn on with the parking lights and therefore I always leave the switch in the 'on' position anyway....

check it out!

I'm gonna do a little write up this weekend on how I did it. Its a lotta work in comparison to a plug and play idea, but was actually kinda fun... :)

Why not use the Switch that comes with the fog light kit? some people say it doesnt fit? if it doesnt fit what is the hole too small that it goes into? cause if so i am getting my fog light kit this week and im installing mcculloch hid kit into them. but im gonna make that oem switch fit no matter what!! but just trying to get an idea on why people dont use it.
thanks

yea it doesn't fit. and I leave my switch on all the time anyway, the parking lights have to be on for them to work, so i didn't really care, the install looks pretty clean either way i think...

Nice Wheels. What size and brand are they? I'm trying to find a new set of rims to put on my 2005 TSX and the ones you have are tight.

Well kit type C is a disaster.
Let me start off by saying the houseings are nice. thats about it.
The harness from the fogs to the plug that goes threw the firewall is all thats useable, the rest is garbage.
Ok today i did my install. I installed kit type c and McCulloch HID Kit. what i had to do was forever but its ok its done now and is bright as hell!! brighter than my headlights!! anyways i used the harness with the wire that ran threw the firewall. cut the connector and made my own wire to run inside the car. went to radioshack got a switch with a led in it and used that for power. the wire from the fogs was used in the center and ran a ground for the switch. i also grounded the harness to the battery with the ground on that harness. i didnt need a relay cause the HID Ballast monitors its own power. so it was pretty much a hard wire hook up. and lots of zip ties lol. all in all it took about 8 hours to do. the hardest part was finding a fuse in the car that turns on with the ignition. and thats that. maybe one day ill post pics of the lights. man they are bright!!!

Thanks! Quick question though...what's the reason for the different size tires front vs. rear?

honestly I wouldn't have ever done that if it was up to me, but i bought them used, they were on a Lexus IS300 for 500 miles (give or take a few)--- and the IS being RWD; the 235 tire is ever so slightly wider i belive. for FWD; makes no difference (i belive)

the knob is the MTX bass control knob thats hooked up to the amp for the subwoofer.

the switch is for the ebay fog lights since the one that came with the kit doesn't fit.
