Dear Admins:

Another board member tried to send me email. The system wouldn't allow it. I tried to send email to myself and got the message "do not wish to receive emails through this board". I got the same result even when I set my "Hide email address" option to "No."

After searching at vbulletin.com I found multiple threads on enabling email. One thread (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58871&highlight=do+not+wish+to+receive+emails+through+th is+board) mentioned the following:

Admin CP --> vBulletin Options --> [Email Options] --> Enable Email features? (Set it to 'Yes')

Would you mind checking this? Thanks.

It is set to Yes... I have sent e-mails to members on the forum fine before.. Try logging out or deleting cookies then logging back in.

not sure why It does not work.. Everything is set for it to work. I will contact VBulletin to get this issue resolved.

PM function works fine.

Hope you can get it to work -- not that I personally want to use it regularly, but of course it would be good to get the function going.
It's surprising that this wasn't noticed before.

(I just tried it again -- still no good.)

I think it is one of the hacks that was installed. We need to upgrade the version of vbulletin. If i do this most of the things like quick reply ect.. will have to be re installed. So I will need more then 2 hours to do everything.

Not sure about this weekend because it is V-Day and she would kill me if she found out I am on the computer.

I will do it ASAP!

Thanks!

P.S. I guess we'll have to wait a little, DNB -- hope you can "hold that thought," although even by now it might feel like "yesterday's news."

(Which it is.) :D

I sent an e-mail to the vbulletin team lets see what they think the problem may be before we upgrade.

Sure. But don't expect much of my email; I'm sure it will be anticlimactic after all this buildup.
