So technically, VA law doesn't allow us to remove the front license plates - though I've seen a good amount of cars without them on.

So herein lies the dilemma : I wanna remove my front license plate and replace it with a chrome plate with a black pearl Acura logo in the middle:D

What do you guys think I should do? :donno:

Do you have your license plate removed from the front? If so, have you gotten a ticket or pulled over for it as of yet?

** I know there's a couple other threads regarding Front License Plates, but I wanted to get the opinions of fellow VA ppl! :) **

Well according to state law you have to display the front tag....however, I see people without them....why....because some people lose the front mounting bracket especially like the ones we have on the TSX. Also I seen people put a custom tag on the front....right under the license plate. I dont want you to get a ticket in this crazy state....but you can put a custom one on the front and place ya tag in the window on the dash but that looks stupid....so I would go with placing it under the tag .... but that looks stupid to me lol ..... just be safe especially in VA.

Hollars later !!

The problem I would think is if the cop stops you and see you have a acura tag where the license plate should be you can not really tell the officer you lost the plate. nj requires front plates also but I have seen cars without them.

you can always try to relocate the tag offcenter a bit. on my previous car (99 integra, miss ma baby..lol) i had the front plates mounted closer to the passenger side, looked kinda cool and it gave it that "JDM look"...

I have my license plate off, but I never got pulled over.

I've had many cops drive in front of me but they never pulled me over...

I dunno but, Mmyb i have good luck :dunno:

My friend just got pulled over the day he took it off....

I wouldn't risk it

i live in MD, i work in DC and i drive through VA once and awhile...anyways last 3 years i havent had a license plate on the front of my car.

I got shit for it once at a airport, they gave me a warning ticket
and again i got pulled over for speeding and the cop changed it to a fix it ticket for the license plate (which was cheaper and no points).

Im trying to think of a good place to put the license plate (other than the bumper).

right now i have it off...but im thinking just put some soft rubber around the metal lip of the plate and laying it near my front window.

Yesterday at a car show i saw two people who has zip tied it to their passengers sun visor.

iv also seen people hide them behind the grill (they told me it was legal, although impossible to see/read.
