unless its a big noticible stratch I would leave it because to paint the whole side is gonna be around 3-400 at a decent body shop. you can touch it up yourself but that wont really do a great job and may look worse if you dont do it right. Some ppl should really get a life.. sorry to hear

I used to go to my dad's friend's shop.....they really did a good job in fixing the paint, etc. What was cool about it was that they didn't make me pay as much and sometimes it was always almost FREE! Grrrrrrr, why did he have to sell his shop and move away! Now, I don't know where to take my car in case of a nick or scratch! :(

Good luck in finding a place and finding a good deal!

make sure ur deductible is 500$.. i thought mine was $250.. but when i called they said their are different deductibles for different "accidents" .. my car got keyed last week and they said i would only have to pay $100 anyways i have state farm insurance

if its not that bad you can wax and buff and it'll make it a lot better.

ya, some dipshit scratched up my car a few days ago.

wetsanded, polished, and waxed this scratch, and another from some time ago.

can't see the scratch now unless you're looking hard. but, the scratch i got just a few days ago also includes a small dent. i'll have to get that fixed later...

Oohh dude, I know how that feels! Ive had that problem before... before I bought my TSX I had a 2006 Civic and my car had a key scratched [it was pretty deep cause you can see the white part] but it was horrible. I barely had the car for 2-3 months and it had a huge scratch. It was ugly! Some people suggested I try turtle wax or whatever but they don't work! The best thing is getting it buffed out...that's your only choice. Speaking of scratches, some friends went to see the Raiders game 2 Monday nights ago and his Escalade got keyed all over the sides. I dont get how people can be so cruel!!!!

Anyways, good luck! Im sure someone here can help give you an advice--besides getting it buff'ed?? =/

people make themselves and their cars feel less shitty by making others look shittier. we had a '93 aerostar before and it had a 5foot long keymark.. the van was black too. they made like a tally thing on the van.

I hope you guys didn't have a problem with parking! You know how that goes....steal their parking and they'll do something right back at you! But don't worry about it...KARMA'S a B*TCH! That person will get his! hehe Just take care of the problem, I'm sure your insurance will cover it! Good luck!

There is nothing you can do... I got my car keyed too and I tried buffer, wax, scratch remover, and all other stuff but it was way too deep for my case. It didnt do jack crap...You can try to talk to your insurance agent to see what they can do for you.

I have one too on my fender but not going to anything about it. I just dont see the point of having them painted. Its going to cost 3-400 and its hard to match up the paint. Crap happens and it can happen again..never know! I decided to live with it and try to forget about it.

Check out this bad boy - AHHHH..... it's about 1/4 of an inch right on my HOOD. It chipped all the way to the metal and now I have rust there! This is very depressing.... I'm going to have to have this repaired but I will certainly drop Acura a note about how dissapointed I am with their paint job. As far as anything else, no other problems to report - the car is an absolute dream.
