Anyone have the "enter code" message come up on your navi even though nothing has been done with your battery? I stopped at a bank on an errand and stopped the car normally to go inside. Came back out, started my car and have the "enter code" message on the navi.
I'm assuming I can just enter the code and all will be well, but has anyone had this happen? I know the battery wasn't disconnected because I was inside for only a few minutes and the car was locked. Also all my radio/seat presets are still there. I'm just not sure what could've caused it.
(Tried searching the forums for this and didn't find anything.)

I've read somewhere that this has happened to a few people. I think it effected the 2006's. Should be fine after you enter the code.

could also be a weak battery? can't hold a charge with the car off, so it "dies" while the car is parked.

Must be a ghost in the machine. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!
It'd be weird if it was a weak battery: doesn't sound weak, cranked fine when I went back out, and all the other memory presets were fine...

^^^^ hahaha I love ghosts! :grinno: Of course, that's if I don't actually SEE one! hehe But yeah, it never happened and looks like it's for '06 models! I know our navi's are a bit different from an '05.

I re-entered the code and it hasn't happened again, seems to be fine. Hopefully it was just a random blip.
(No setup or customization information was lost, either, so I dunno if it had anything to do with the battery...)

What a coincidence. I had this happen today on my '06. Hopefully it's a one-time deal!

This has happened to me twice. 06 MT
The first time it happened was for no reason at all. I was about to go to school and I saw enter code, and i freaked out. I entered the code and it didn't come up anymore until the second time.
The second time, I lefted the keys in the ON position for like 45 min - an hour. I was busy in the backseat with my girlfriend (it was mostly clean fun). When I was about to leave, I tried starting the engine and nothing happened ==. After waiting a while, the starter worked again and enter code pops up on the navi. I put it in and after that, there's this second enter code thing where the time is located. You had to use the seek knob to enter the code. I think that was a different code too.

The 2nd time fadinglionhart explains sounds different, and it pretty clearly a case where the voltage dropped too low, especially since it lost both the NAVI and radio code.
The 1st time it happened sounds like what happened to me. Since I re-entered the code a few days ago it's been fine, and it was fine up until this point so I think unless it starts happening frequently, it's not a significant problem. Still kind of annoying though.
