sunroof noise

ok searched and found nothing like what im experiencing. when closing from full open it makes a loud "werrrrring" sound from about full to half open. i just noticed this recently and cant imagine this is how it sounded new. anyone else have this problem with their 06?

im taking my baby in on wednesday for its 1st oil change and to have the seat creaking fixed. might as well have them look at this too.

i too have an 06 with similar problems. my sunroof doesn't making any sounds like you mentioned, however it does rattle when the sunroof is closed but i have the shade part open/ slid back so that the glass isn't blocked. not sure if it's the sunroof or the shade visor thingy. my seat also creaks when making semi-sharp turns. if i make a "U" turn that thing creaks like a motha!!

dont have seat sounds but it sounds like the motor on ur sunroof might be dying. or like there is high friction (sounds like electric pencil sharpener??)

pretty much does sound like that. car goes in for oil change and seat at 10a on wednesday. they better have a loaner for me if its gonna take all day.

anyone have sun roof glass rubbing against rubber molding?
when sun roof is closed and under cover is open, my sun roof makes squeaking noise

Did you check to see if the tracks/guides are well greased? Maybe there is a lot dirt on the tracks and the motor has to work extra hard because of the added friction.

It is just too dusty and sandy to keep my sun roof open for very long in New Mexico.

I've had no rattling or unusual rubbing, BUT, what does happen to me sometimes is that when I close it, right after it finishes closing but before I release the button, it makes a really loud POP, almost like an electric shock sound...it's weird. Seems to happen mostly when I close from tilt, but occasionally it does it when I close from slide. It's pretty loud, too. But it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the thing, so I just ignore it.

i have no problems with my sun roof, works great and i barely get any wind noice.
