The other day my "check VSA system" and "check emmisions system" lights started flashing in my 06 tsx. I have about 800 miles on it and I have already installed Tein Basic coils, Comptech rear sway bar, ingalls camber kit, powdecoated VC, and a Vision sparkplug cover. Both lights came on a day after installing the VC but the car seems to be running fine.
After doing some searching I found a couple of threads about the VSA light. One guy said his light went off after the car sat for 10 hours and the other said something about replacing a brake switch. Unfortunately neither the VSA nor the emmisions light went off after letting my car sit for the night so Im going to have to take it to the dealership.
Do you guys think I should be concerned about my warranty now that I have the aftermarket parts and has anyone been hastled about coilovers or a non OEM valve cover?

Do this before you take it in... and see if the lights shut off... ok unplug ur negative part of the battery and drain alll the electricity from the car by trying to start the car.. after all the electricity is out plug the battery back .... make sure to have the security code to ur stereo... its usually in the little folder of manuals and stuff.. it happened to me when i went to make a custom vtec lightt..

Maybe it just needs time to reset? :donno: I'm sure a few times it'll go back to normal!

your warranty should not be affected, unless your modifications were the cause of the problem. So make sure you didn't leave anything unpluged when you were doing all these upgrades. Other than that, none of those upgrades are in any way related to your problem. So you're ok with the warranty covering it.

Well I disconnected the battery but it only fixed the problem temporarily. Guess I have to make the 30 mile drive out to the dealership :thumbsdow

the code im showing is P0011. I took it to my buddy's shop and he checked it for me. Im going to try and make it to the Acura dealership this week to get it taken care of, hopefully its something simple.

Well I finally got my car into service. It took them a couple days to diagnose the problem and then a couple more for the part to come in. They replaced the VTEC oil control solenoid valve and so far so good.
I noticed on the little card they leave in the car about your handwash that they also did a Flash Wax, anybody know what thats supposed to mean?
They even took the curteousy of rubbing glitter into my leather seats to give that just had a bunch of strippers in the car look

Not quite sure what a flash wax is, but I think it might have something to do with a no-hands lazer type wax job! I get my carwashed the same way (that's if not not getting it detailed)! And they call it a LASER CARWASH! Nothing is rubbing against your car and everything is done by high powered water pressures. so there's no worry about getting your car scratched by the carwash! I think this is the only Chevron I go to that has this lazer carwash! And I like going there for a quick wash! But usually, I go to another place to get my car washed and detailed!
Btw, that last statement cracked me up! hahahaha I wonder how THAT happened! hahahaha
