Poll : TSX/Mazda 6/Accord V6

I'm guessing there will be some bias towards one particular car... :D

I think all three cars are hot! But why I would choose a V6 Accord EX 6-spd manual over the TSX would be pricing. Both are great cars don't get me wrong. But you do the math:
~26,000 for a V6 Accord EX 6-spd or
~25,000-30,000 for a I4 TSX
It's not a V6 vs. the I4 debate! I love I4 accords. I drive one.
It's a pricing issue. Does anyone have a definite price for the TSX? I've heard figures being tossed around the 24,000-28,000 for a TSX withot navi. Not a big fan of navi. Don't get lost without finding my way. One of my collegues drives a blue Mazda 6 and that thing is really sweet. Nice car all around. Decisions decisions.

Collegue told me something interesting that I overlooked for the Mazda 6 . Can anyone confirm?
~19,500 base & ~23,000 hooked-up
If so expect so see a lot of Mazda 6s

If you price the 6 cylinder version of the 6 (the 4 cylinder only has 150hp) and add in the options to make it equivalent to the TSX (leather, sport package, premium sound, side airbags and side curtain airbags, not sure if you can get HID for it) then the MSRP is around $24k (I priced it on www.edmunds.com).

That's a very nice bang for the buck.

There aren'y many nice V6s you can buy for that price. It is a good deal, but I'm still a nut for the Honda/Acura engines.
Does the Mazda 6 have a rotary engine? As one might tell I'm very ignorant about Mazdas but the 6 is sounding better each second.

Yep...I think we might be trading in the good ol' Camry for a Mazda 6. More Horsepower, and better handling..plus looks way sportier... Not that I got anything against the Camry..but the 2000 model is just over the hill now..lol:D

:D TSX is a 4, Mazda 6 is a V6, can we compare them even though they look so much alike in appearence?

The TSX and the Mazda6 V6 may run 7-8seconds for a 0to60. So they are going to be good competitors, but don't forget the Mazda6 base model comes with a 4 Cyl. My 0to60 times are from rumors/estimations. But that is my guess and 2cents.

I have a 1999 Drk Green EX Accord Sedan, 5 spd, with 120K miles that I am looking to replace. The TSX is at the top of my list.

I have been driving Accord 5 speeds since 1969.

With all of the favorable comments on the Mazda6 I stopped by a dealers lot tonight. They look pretty nice, especially the yellow.

One thing I noticed on the car I looked at, which was supposed equipped with a 5 speed manual, was the shifter had one of those snakey looking shift patterns, instead of a sideways double H. Unfortunately I could not see any of the pedals due to the lack of sufficient lighting. It gave the appearance of one those automatics that you can shift by just moving the lever, one of those clutchless wonders like the Passat! :(

Or maybe this is automatic which you can shift and it was mislabeled on the sticker, although I suspect the later.

Can someone confirm that the Mazda6 comes with a real Manual trans?

Your Maxima (or any other Maxima) vs. Any Stock Mazda6 even a V6, c'mon no comparision!
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=modelsSpecs&vehicleCode=MZ6

even with a 5-speed manual overdrive- my money is on the maxima, I will give credit to Ford/Mazda for coming up with a good line-up for 2003.

I cannot wait to see this hot new Acura at the showrooms. I am a fan of both Acura and Honda. Yes, I know that they're the same company.

I AM digging the new Accord. I've purchased the last three models before this one and the Accord keeps getting better. I've also owned a Mazda. I know that this new 6 is a big investment for Mazda. I loved my Mazda and it was good car. I just think that Hondas and Acuras are addictive. Until I can afford a 5 Series.

I still think that the Accord V6 and TSX will kick its ass any day! You can feel the value and refinement in Acuras and Hondas. The 6 is cute. It also looks cheap with no personality. I am looking to replace my Accord with a TSX!

I think that the TSX was an answer to my prayers. I like the new Accord but.... I can't afford a TL. I think that the TSX is going to be a hot seller in this class. I can't wait for a test drive.

rdr394- I smell you on all accounts except for the 5 series, I would opt for the used 98 Supra TT but that's me.
I want a TSX really bad but might have to go accord EX V6 6spd
if they don't answer my prayers and price the TSX bewteen the
RSX 24,000- TL 28,000( I might be wrong in those prices).
The Accords styling stinks- but the newer engines rock!

accroding to acrua.com
base RSX starts at 19,975
base TL starts at 28,980

the TSX will HAVE TO BE IN BETWEEN these two price wise... cuz thas where it's slotted for car wise...

be patient... good things will come :D
