My passenger side door's latch got jammed last weekend. So everytime I went to shut the door, it bounced back. My mom was flipping out, and we tried to move the latch with everything.

We take it to Acura they "fixed" it in literally .5 seconds, with a pen.

Now, I have to slam the door in order for it to shut. ugh.

Then I started the car this morning, and my god the engine vibrations were INSANE for a good 15 minutes. Now my brakes are ****ing making a grinding noise.

I don't know, my moms 2000 Hyundai Sonata doesn't do that, and neither did my USED 05 corolla.

My friends 2004 TSX drives a hell of alot better than mine. I have only have 5k miles, she has almost 40k, wtf?

I have an appointment next week with Acura. And they better fix it, or they can take their car and shove it.

Brand new 30k car? All these problems? WTF?

Possibly!

Then again, you did go to the dealership to get it fixed! I wonder while they were fixing it if they tampered with anything else to have caused your car to tweak like that!

Hey, don't knock PT - I went through all of university on that!

But yeah, 5K shouldn't give you that much problem, go and bug the dealership.

Well, driving home from school today I was waiting on the huge line to get off the campus, and I noticed my car jerking slightly back and forth. I thought maybe another car/truck was forcing mine to do that, so I waited till I was at a light by myself..and it continued.

New problem: Car jerks for no reason! yay!

Then a few days ago i'm sitting in the parking lot, after pulling in I had the car still in drive where I noticed a weird tick tick tick tick noise. So I was like "Jesus christ, what NOW?" So I throw the car in park. Noise went away. Went into reverse..it was fine. Went into drive again. and TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK. Sounds like a bomb, wtf?! So I put it in the drive 3, and it was even worse.

I HATE THIS CAR.
HATE IT.
I want my corolla back. >:O.
Shame too, cause it's a gorgeous car. hum.

Total number of problems on my 2006 TSX with only 5400 miles:

1. Car latch doesnt work properly. Have to slam passenger side door to close.
2. Lacks pick up speed on occasion. Feels like it's hesitating.
3. New "ticking" noise while car is in drive.
4. Engine noise is extremely loud when starting the car, and even after it's been warmed up.
5. Steering wheel shudders.
6. Car jerks while idle.

Oh man, I love it!

wow...thats a lot of nasty problems.

lemon law is only if the car is taken to the dealer 3 times for the SAME problem with no fix.

so take ie to the dealer and have them try and fix EVERYTHING and eventually if they cant...you get your money back.

If you have a warranty on the ones that need to be fixed, you probably won't have to. But other than that, you MIGHT have to!

NOTE: Sorry, had to merge your thread! :)

if your local acura dealer takes half a minute and a pen to fix your complaint/problem, then you really need to find another dealer

Quick question..newbie here....i have 05 tsx...when idle in park, car tends to rev a little and goes back down. Anyone knows why? Also, when driving...feels like the car wants to push faster when i'm not pressing on the gas. May be my mind is playing tricks on me...hmm....may be too much MSG in my food..hahaha

sounds like you had bad luck with your tsx. My 06 tsx 6 spd with 5,300 (knock on wood) has no problems. Do not knock the Hyundai, we own one and they are great cars for the money. Our has over 50,000 (05) with no problems. Good Luck and do not give up. Maybe you should have kept your toyota.
