New in town: LF Mugen 1/2 kit

Hi there,

I'm new around the boards. Just picked up an 05 TSX a few weeks ago in Silver. Looking forward to doing a few minor modifications as the year progresses, one of which will be the 1/2 Mugen kit. Ive been doing some searches around the site and various threads, however couldnt find a contact of a supplier or a website. I could just be blind, and if I am, I apologize for the repost.

Any help in my search would be of great help! Thank you all in advance!

Welcome...nice to have another new fellow torontonian. Speedstar can get u one but a bit pricey. There's a few shops on the west coast, boomplus or aj-racing. Phase..u should know better!!! INtroduce your local shops LOL

They will have a better deal on mugen parts.

it's not like i work for them :) and plus, he'd have to pay for shipping, which can be a hassle when you want a kit shipped

PCdawg, my car is Satin Silver, but planning on repainting the whole car w/ the lip kit.

The best quote I received was $2300CDN which includes:Front, side rear lips, as well as the mugen grill. I will try and give boomplus a try and see where they are at.

I got quoted $50 for shipping a mugen lip by one of the shops out in the west coast.

Speedstar gets their stuff from the west coast guys anyways.....

Yup, speedstar is like 30% more than other suppliers. I think poleposition always has good price & reasonable shipping. BTW, why you want to repaint the whole car to other car? you will have hard time to resale it and also a quality paint job is not cheap for a whole car! those 3-4G paint jobs are just sucks.

Well, ive always thought the white looked quite nice on the TSX. I bought this car off my uncle for several thousand below market price, so colour was not much of an option.

And yea, im aware of how much a good quality paint job cost, but at the end of the day, you still cant match OEM paint. :) I've scrapped the idea now actually because I spent that money on rims. >.<

I purchased the Mugen kit off an old friend of mine. He used to supply me with just about every part for my corolla, and this time around, had the best price for the kit.

One last question, how is the fitment on the Mugen 04-05 kits? Ive heard some complaints from other Acura forums that the 2006 kits needed modifications to fit.
