So today I was pulling out of the carwash (delta sonic). I was in the far right lane, next thing my eyes blurred or the glare blinded me, next thing I see is a silver Oldsmobile dead in front.

I slammed on the brakes. The car failed to stop; I slammed into her car, and then veered off on to the curb in front of blockbusters. I managed to miss the light pole and jump over a parking curb. Finally stopped and land in the end of a parking spot.

My Passenger airbag deployed and the fumes made my car smell. The front end of my car is totaled from only body damage I hope. The airbag or something hit me hard I couldn't stand up for awhile.

Driver’s lights
Drivers seat belt
Passenger airbag deployed
Front underbody
Front two fog lights
Bumper frame
Left and right side skirts
Hood trim and grill destroyed
Bumper cracked and stripped

So pretty much I was at fault, darn should have not washed my car brakes probably weren’t dry so that didn’t help.

I have some neck aches and backaches but I should be fine. I filed the insurance report and going check the car tomorrow and Friday.
Talk about painful to see it and be in a car. I never had this feeling , I could have avoided the car by veering into the other lanes but I didn’t even have time to react.

Pretty much i blurred then ah shit BRAKE BAM
STEERED RIGHT BAM into a parking curb.

So you can imagine whipsplash hurting, how about hitting a car ? and hitting a parking curb.

Ouch! Sorry to hear :( But glad you're able to walk away from it. Mine was totalled a couple months ago...but they had to total it because there was too much battery acid all over the place. But talking to the adjuster, if it weren't for the battery acid there was a pretty good chance they would've fixed my car cause I had low miles and the damages would've been less than 80% of what they totalled my car for. How many miles do you have on yours?

And the air bag smell will linger in your system for at least a few weeks... I can still smell them every once in a while :(

i see u need to replace the whole dash piece, that will be pain in the ass to get it fir right. since its a big piece, did you side airbags deployed?
i had replaced my whole interior roof piece because the side airbag goes off :/
and a lot of places doesnt fit right like original
just check the details before u pull out of the collision shop.
good luck

Its all payed by allstate insurance and i'm getting it done in ray laks honda and acura inc body collision shop.

Least the cars new so the coverages will all be payed for. Now if the car was a bit older they hand me cash or a check and i'd have to find a shop that wouldnt be so much.

I'm assuming that this will be fixed because the engine seems fine just some frame and body damage. Atleast you walked out it fine, GL with the repairs

Anyways, good luck with your car. if you hadn't done the repairs yet I would have recommended getting the euro r bumper or something
