I just received this from a friend. I thought it was :bs: The press release advised people not to use tap water for brushing your teeth and washing fruits and vegetables. I highly doubt most ppl will use bottled water to brush their teeth. I went home after work and I boiled the tap water and filtered it with Brita and it is still cloudy. The water in my chinese hot water thermos thingy is light brown and cloudy. asdfg Be careful in consuming tap water and be cautious until the water quality returns back to an acceptable level.
I guess i won't be getting my morning coffee at Starbucks tomorrow. I'm pretty sure Starbucks just use filtered tap water to make their stuff.

I just went to a chinese restaurant last night. Now, I don't feel good. I'm debating if it is the water they used to cook the rice and soup or is it just bad "chinese" food. :rotz:

seems like people in coquitlam are fine..they've tried to source the water from the coquitlam reservoir to ppl in vancouver..but ppl on the shore are stuck using the seymour reservoir..it said on the news that the coquitlam reservoir isn't nearly as bad..and my water looks fine :s

Lucky you. The water here in Burnaby is light brown still. When you take a shower, the water smells like mud water. gross.

I hope so too. I was eating dim sum at a Chinese restaurant today at Burnaby. At the end of the meal, we realized they probably used the dirty water to make the tea. mmmmm... extra fiber.

Actually, the water is clearing up now. Not to worry. By the time you come to Vancouver, everything should be back to normal.

Why don't you guys get a tap filter and then just boil the water until the water quality is restored?

GeneralCho

Tried it. Boiled and filtered the water. It is still light brown and cloudy. Brushing my teeth with it was pretty bad already... I don't think I want to drink it.
