hi I put about 5 coats of oil on my comptech foam filter
:shiner:
So that pretty much means I over oiled it....
Do I need to do anything to fix this problem?
or I just need to clean my filter now and let it be... :frosty:
Originally, I thought I had to clean mass air flow sensor...however it seems like TSX doesn't have one....
or it's not around the intake tube or something....

Older hondas had MAP sensors, i assume the TSX is probably the same.

TSX has MAP. But you don't want to overoil because you'll get oil on the throttle butterfly.
Take off the filter and wrap it in newspaper for a day to get the excess off.

I used to overoil my filters in my accord. It didn't do anything bad, except for the one time when it leaked on my ignitor and killed it =P I do know it sucked alot of oil into the engine (you can see the trail leading up inside the intake tube)...but I didn't have any hydrolock problems ;-P
I don't think you're supposed to mount it until it's dry (ie: doesn't leak). Take the filter out, and let it air dry. Or restart the cleaning process.
If you started your engine with the filter installed, you might want to clean out the inside of the intake tube. Not sure, but I think some people might spray throttle body cleaner while the engine is running (or at least I think that's the spray that was used)

lol......great nothing for me to do
I am positive that filter was dry...cuz I oiled it and didn't install the intake until like a month later
cold weather owned me
I'll just clean the engine when I reach 20Kmiles

Don't worry, you won't hydrolock ever unless you poured 1 quart of oil into your intake tube.
And with the TSX, using manifold air pressure sensors, won't get fouled as easily as air-flow sensors.
