hey, just curious as to finding out if 10,000k hid bulbs are illegal because of thier "blueness"
i read some stuff from the highway traffic act, and it says that havind red, blue or green BLINKING or FLASHING lights are illegal..but it doesnt mention anything about the actual headlight.
Any thoughts?
also just curious if anyone has any pics of them swapping out thier OEM 4300k hids for different color ranges...post some pics to i know which one i might wanna get!

6000K? There are a lot of cars with stock HID with 6000K bulb. It should be at least 8000K for a ticket, shouldn't it?

Yes they are illegal. And very noticeable. Your going to have a pure blue beam. The most I would go with is 6000K. Philips has those Ultinon bulbs.
Here is a picture of what 10000K looks like.

The kit is around $230 cdn with 1 year warranty (full replacement within toronto) the bigger the GB the cheaper it is. Right now we might have 3 ppl so the price drops to 220.
They have from 4300-5000k-6000k 8000k and 10000k.

Cool...price will drop even lower! Any other torontians interested??
I am interested on the fog(H11 I think), so will it fit? BTW, wasn't every car will cut down the voltage for DRL so if convert it to xenon, will it also dim the output?

^
Yes as long as u get the proper bulb type it will fit. As for the hid h1. its only single beam so u lose the high beam feature, but when u flash it will still be bright. The output for drl hid will remain constant. HIDs use very little power anyhow.

He swap out sealed beam for clear housing plus hid. Btw which car have better light output, IS300 or TSX?

I believe the TSX has better projectors. I remember reading somewhere where they had a top 5 list and 3 of them were lexus, the TSX was either 2nd or 3rd in terms of projection.

yup, they did not use projectors in 300, they only changed it in the new 2nd generation of IS . I like the TSX more than the IS300

Paid $40 to put hid on my last car. I just want to know if there will be any side effects with hid on drl, cause someone on this site mentioned that low wattage of the drl will cause problems to the ballast and flickering of the lights. Want to make sure before I buy the kit.

The DRLs run the same wattage as the hid kit 35W. Should be no problem as all for the tsx as one of the partner owns a TSX as well.
